Why You Should Never Worry About Comments On Your Blog

Tick tick!

There are some things that a typical Abuja babe like me wouldn’t worry about and I’m going to be sharing it with you.
That’s why I’m here right….*winks*….to share everything with you.
Straight into what I want to share…..
So…..there’s this bloggers’ support group (a whatsapp group) that I belong to and it consists of Nigerian bloggers and they are really amazing people. On this particular day, we got a new member who just started…..
her blog and wanted us to check out her first post.
We were all happy for her so we dug straight into her blog to read and leave our comments only for her to come back minutes later lamenting about someone who dropped a link while commenting on her blog.

(Lolz….if you’re not new to blogging am sure you’d probably laugh out loud and be surprised at this but wait….let me finish my gist)
She started ranting (yup, I’d like to call it that) that she wouldn’t tolerate such “nonsense” bla bla bla. Every attempt to pacify our aunty failed oo…hehehe .
You needed to have read the drama that played out…
To cut my long story short, aunty left the group in annoyance.
The truth is, there is nothing wrong with people commenting on your posts and adding links to their own contents underneath. Infact, it’s wonderful and it’s what other bloggers who “know what’s up” want because:
  1. It helps to boost your SEO
  2. It makes your content engaging and Google loves that a lot. That’s how you know you’re making progress too.
  3. It helps to rank your blog in search engines; as engaging contents too
I could go on and on but I’ll stop there. If you want more…..just let me know….*winks*…Lolz.
BUT…..
If you aren’t always comfortable with all the kinds of comments being left on your blog, all ou have to do is moderate comments on the blog, that way, only comments which you approve will appear in your comment section.
And with these few points of mine, I hope I have been able to convince and not confuse you, that comments and links are “not so bad after all.
If you were in the same room with our aunty, what would you tell her….?
