The Frostfang Mountains is the tall and jagged mountain in the north of Westeros where the Starks rule. It extends to the wall in the wildling territory.
This Frostfang mountain was filmed in Höfðabrekka, Iceland.
Qarth is in real life, the Island of Lokrum, located in Croatia. That is also the fortification of the House of the Undying in Season 2. Most of the scenes in Qarth are CGI. However, some of the garden scenes are filmed in the beautiful botanical gardens in Lokrum and in Lokrum’s former monastery.
- The Iron Bank of Braavos
The Iron Bank of Braavos is the biggest bank in the whole of Westeros. People from all seven kingdoms can get loans from the Iron Bank.
The bank is the monumental St. Jacob Cathedral located in Sibenik, Croatia.
As Arya runs away from King’s Landing in her boy disguise, she walked through Kingsroad with Yoren, Gendry and Hot Pie. The beautiful scene with attractive bending beech trees that form a beautiful boulevard is the road near Stranocum and is located in Northern Ireland.
Winterfell is House Stark’s ancestral home. It is the capital city of the North. Winterfell is in the center of Westeros’ northernmost province. It is on the Kingsroad extending from Storm’s End to the Wall. The medieval Doune Castle in Stirling district located in central Scotland is where the beautiful Winterfell scenes are shot.
